Statue of Unity - Berlin, Germany (Proposed Site)

Inside One Germany
Designed by: OFICINAA Architecture

The proposed monument systematically stacks all of Germany's states in a vertical tower. An interior space is created from the overlapping shapes, yielding a centrally unified space otherwise absent in Germany until the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. Architects used this diagrammatic monument to physically represent a literal reunion of Germany's provinces.
