In 2005, a memorial was constructed in Emilcin, Poland to commemorate the alien abduction of Jan Wolski, who was out driving a horse-drawn cart in 1978 when he says he was jumped by two "short, green-faced humanoid entities" about 5 feet tall. He was taken to their craft and shortly released. The text in Polish, read:
"On 10 May 1978 in Emilcin an UFO object landed. The truth will astonish us in the future".
Funded by the Warsaw-based UFO organization Nautilus Foundation, it is the first alien abduction anywhere in the world to have its own memorial.
