Spire of Dublin

The Monument of Light is a 393 foot tower made of stainless steel tubes. The design competition was won by Ritchie Architects, who designed this monument to serve as a symbol of 21st century Dublin, Ireland. It was originally meant to be completed in 200, however, it was surrounded by controversy and protests and was not completed until 2003.
