This proposed memorial is meant to to perpetuate the memory of Dwight D. Eisenhower and his contributions to the United States. Frank Gehry was chosen as the winner of the design competition, but his project has met much opposition from the Eisenhower family. The proposed site is across the street from the National Air and Space Museum, a few blocks away from Capitol Hill.
